Building an App
Generate and refine an internal tool by chatting with the AI app builder.
You build an app by talking to it. There's no drag-and-drop canvas to learn — you describe what you want, the builder generates it, and you iterate from there.
Create the app
From the Apps gallery, click New app, give it a name (you can change it later), and click Create app. A new app starts as an empty Draft, and you land directly in the builder chat.
The builder chat
The builder chat is a conversation bound to this one app. Describe what you want it to do, and the builder generates the app for you — then keeps refining it as you give more direction.
Good first messages are concrete about the job to be done:
- "Build a dashboard that shows open tasks per project as a bar chart."
- "Make a form to log customer call notes with a name, date, and summary field."
- "Add a button that exports the table to CSV."
The builder chat works like the assistant — send a message, watch it work, and reply to steer it. Each app has its own ongoing conversation, so when you come back to Build later, the thread resumes right where you left off.
Iterating
Building is a back-and-forth. Ask for changes the way you'd ask a teammate:
- "Move the chart above the table."
- "The date field should default to today."
- "That total is wrong — it should only count active rows."
Each round updates the app's draft. Nothing you do here is visible to anyone else until you publish.
Editing later
You can return to the builder at any time. Open a Live app and click Build in the owner actions, or open a Draft straight from the gallery. Your earlier conversation is still there, so you can pick up the thread and keep refining.
