Your AI assistant is the heart of Opisense. It's not a chatbot bolted onto the side of a productivity tool — it's a personal companion that understands your work, remembers your conversations, and can take real action across your entire workspace.
What the assistant can do
Here's what makes it powerful:
- Chat about anything — Writing, research, analysis, brainstorming, problem-solving. Ask it whatever you need, and it responds with context-aware answers.
- Remember your conversations — It carries forward what you've discussed across sessions. You don't have to re-explain context every time you come back.
- Search your knowledge base — Connect documents and files so the assistant can pull accurate answers from your team's actual content.
- Manage files — Upload documents, reference them in conversation, and let the assistant work with your files directly.
- Run quietly on a schedule — Turn on Heartbeat and the assistant checks on what you care about (inbox, calendar, anything else) and only pings you when there's something worth your attention.
- Pick from many models — The model selector in the chat input lets you choose from 11 providers across US, EU, and Asia regions for different reasoning, latency, and privacy needs.
- Use capabilities quickly — On a fresh thread you'll see a "Recommended for you" hero of capability cards. In an existing thread, type
/at the start of a line to open an inline slash menu of recent capabilities and the full catalog. - Plan before it acts — Flip the Agent / Plan toggle to have the assistant propose a plan read-only first, with no changes until you approve.
- Work inside a document — Open a document and click Ask assistant to have it edit the page directly alongside you. See Ask the assistant.
How it works
The assistant combines three sources of intelligence to give you relevant, grounded responses:
- Your conversation history — What you've discussed before, your preferences, your decisions
- Your knowledge base — Documents and files you've uploaded that the AI can search through
- Your workspace context — What you're working on right now, your projects, your schedule

Quick start
Go to your assistant
Click Assistant in the sidebar, or use the keyboard shortcut to open a new chat. You'll land in a clean conversation ready to go.
Send your first message
Try something like "What can you help me with?" or "Help me brainstorm ideas for my next project." The assistant responds in real time.
Explore what it can do
Ask follow-up questions, upload a file, or try a more complex request like "Summarize the key points from my uploaded document." The more you use it, the better it gets.
Customize your experience
Head to Settings to configure the assistant's personality, connect knowledge sources, and set up integrations.
