Apps Troubleshooting

Fix common issues with building, publishing, running, and sharing apps.

If an app isn't behaving the way you expect, start here.

"App not published yet"

You opened a Draft app — it has no published version, so there's nothing to run. If you own it, open the builder and publish a version; the app then flips to Live.

My changes aren't showing for my team

Building updates the draft, not the Live app. Teammates keep running the last published version until you publish again. Open the builder, confirm the change looks right, then publish a new version.

A teammate can't open the app

Check how it's shared:

  • Org visibility must be on for everyone in your workspace to find it, or
  • The person must be invited individually in the Share dialog.

If they can open it but can't edit, they were shared in as a User — change their role to Builder to let them into the builder.

The app keeps asking me to confirm

That's the confirm destructive actions policy doing its job. If the app is read-only and the prompts are just friction, the owner can turn the policy off in the owner actions. Leave it on for any app that writes or deletes data.

The builder isn't generating what I asked for

Treat it like the assistant — be specific and iterate:

  • Describe the outcome concretely ("show open tasks per project as a bar chart"), not just the topic.
  • Make one change at a time so it's clear what to adjust if a result is off.
  • If a calculation is wrong, tell it exactly what the right number should be and why.

Still stuck?

If none of these help, visit Help to contact support. Include the app's name, whether it's Draft or Live, and what you expected versus what happened.
