Managing Tasks

View, pause, edit, delete, and monitor the results of your automated tasks.

Once you've created tasks, the Tasks page becomes your control center. It shows all your tasks in a table with key details at a glance — status, schedule, last run time, and results.

The task dashboard

The task dashboard uses a data table that you can sort, filter, and search. Each row represents a task and shows:

  • Name — The task title or a summary of its instructions
  • Status — Active, paused, or failed
  • Schedule — How often it runs (daily, weekly, etc.)
  • Last run — When the task last executed and whether it succeeded
  • Next run — When the task is scheduled to run next

Click any task to open its detail view, where you can see full run history and output.

Viewing results

Every time a task runs, Opisense logs the result. Open a task to see the complete history of runs, including:

  • The output the AI produced
  • Whether the run completed successfully
  • How long it took
  • Any errors or warnings

This makes it easy to spot trends and catch problems early.

Pausing a task

If you need to temporarily stop a task from running, click the Pause button. The task stays in your dashboard but won't execute until you resume it. This is useful when you're tweaking instructions or taking a break from a particular workflow.

Editing a task

Click Edit on any task to update its instructions, schedule, agent, or connected knowledge. Changes apply starting from the next scheduled run — they won't affect a run that's already in progress.

If a task's output isn't quite right, try adjusting the instructions rather than deleting and recreating the task. Small tweaks often make a big difference.

Deleting a task

To permanently remove a task, open it and click Delete. Opisense asks you to confirm before deleting. Once deleted, the task and its run history are removed. This can't be undone, so make sure you don't need the results before proceeding.
