Templates
Get started fast with official pre-built agent templates for common business roles.
Templates are pre-configured agent setups that give you a head start. Instead of building an agent from scratch, pick a template that matches the role you need and customize it from there. It's the fastest way to go from idea to working agent.
Official templates
Opisense ships with six official templates, each designed for a common business role:
| Template | What it does |
|---|---|
| Customer Support | Ticket triage by urgency, issue resolution with empathy, escalation management, and customer satisfaction tracking |
| Sales | Lead qualification and scoring, proposal drafting, meeting preparation with competitive briefs, and pipeline support |
| Product Manager | PRD writing, feature prioritization using frameworks, user feedback analysis, and roadmap support |
| Human Resources | Employee onboarding guidance, HR policy answers, leave and benefit management, and compliance flagging |
| Finance & Accounting | Month-end close sequencing, journal entry preparation, GL reconciliation, financial statement generation, and SOX compliance |
| Legal | Contract review and risk identification, compliance checking, document summarization, and audit-ready analysis |
Each template comes with a pre-written set of instructions, a configured personality, and suggested tool selections tailored to the role.
Official templates are maintained by Opisense and updated automatically. They use Claude Sonnet 4.6 by default. You can change the model and any other setting after creation.
Creating from a template
Pick a template
Browse the gallery and click on a template that matches your needs. You'll see a detailed preview of what it includes — instructions, tools, personality settings, and suggested knowledge connections.
Customize the configuration
Every part of the template is editable. Update the name, tweak the instructions, add or remove tools, and connect your own knowledge sources. The template is just a starting point — make it yours.
Create the agent
Once you're happy with the configuration, click Create. Your new agent is ready to use, pre-loaded with sensible defaults from the template.
Tips for using templates
- Start with a template, then iterate. Even if it's not perfect, a template gets you 80% of the way there. You can refine as you go.
- Compare a few options. If multiple templates look relevant, read through their instructions to find the one that's closest to what you need.
- Use templates to learn. Looking at how a well-built template is configured can teach you patterns for creating your own agents from scratch.
