Templates
Get started fast with pre-built agent templates for common roles and workflows.
Templates are pre-configured agent setups that give you a head start. Instead of building an agent from scratch, you can pick a template that matches the role you need and customize it from there. It's the fastest way to go from idea to working agent.
Browsing the gallery
When you create a new agent, you'll see the template gallery with a collection of ready-made configurations. Each template includes a name, description, and a preview of the tools and instructions it comes with.
Templates are organized into categories to help you find what you need quickly:
- Customer Support — Agents that answer questions, handle tickets, and triage incoming messages
- Content & Writing — Agents for drafting blog posts, social media content, and marketing copy
- Research & Analysis — Agents that dig through data, summarize documents, and surface insights
- Operations — Agents for scheduling, reporting, and internal process management
- Custom — Community and team-created templates shared within your organization
Creating from a template
Pick a template
Browse the gallery and click on a template that matches your needs. You'll see a detailed preview of what it includes — instructions, tools, personality settings, and suggested knowledge connections.
Customize the configuration
Every part of the template is editable. Update the name, tweak the instructions, add or remove tools, and connect your own knowledge sources. The template is just a starting point — make it yours.
Create the agent
Once you're happy with the configuration, click Create. Your new agent is ready to use, pre-loaded with sensible defaults from the template.
Templates don't lock you in. Everything you get from a template can be changed after creation. Think of them as a shortcut, not a constraint.
Tips for using templates
- Start with a template, then iterate. Even if it's not perfect, a template gets you 80% of the way there. You can refine as you go.
- Compare a few options. If multiple templates look relevant, read through their instructions to find the one that's closest to what you need.
- Use templates to learn. Looking at how a well-built template is configured can teach you patterns for creating your own agents from scratch.
