Image Studio

Generate, edit, and iterate on AI images on a canvas that keeps the full lineage of your work.

Image Studio is where you create images with AI inside Opisense. It's not a one-shot generator — every canvas keeps the full history of what you've tried, so you can branch off a good result, refine details, or come back to an earlier version without losing anything.

Open it from Image Studio in the sidebar, or open /images directly.

What you can do

  • Generate images from a text prompt — pick an aspect ratio and quality
  • Edit part of an image by painting a mask and describing what should change there
  • Compose several images into one (e.g. drop a logo onto a hero shot)
  • Make variations of an existing image without changing the prompt
  • Apply a brand style so generations stay on-palette and on-tone
  • Insert finished images straight into a note, wiki page, design, or chat thread

Each generation lives on its own canvas, and a side rail keeps the lineage — every prompt, edit, and variation — so you can step back and try a different fork at any time.

How a canvas works

A canvas is one workspace for one image idea. The page has three parts:

  1. Display — the currently selected image fills the main area
  2. Lineage rail — every generation on the right, in the order you made them
  3. Prompt bar — the controls at the bottom, with a strip for switching between Generate / Edit / Compose / Variations

You can pin any generation in the lineage as the current one, then iterate from there.

Quick start

Open Image Studio

Click Image Studio in the sidebar. The library shows every canvas in your workspace that you can see.

Create a canvas

Click New canvas, give it a title, optionally pick an aspect ratio, and confirm. You land on the empty canvas.

Write a prompt

In the prompt bar at the bottom, describe what you want. Pick an aspect (1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 4:5, 3:2) and a quality tier. The estimated cost shows next to the button.

Generate

Hit Generate. The image appears in the display when it's ready and is added to the lineage rail.

Iterate

Use Edit (mask) to change a region, Variations to riff on the current image, or Compose to mix in another image. Each one becomes a new entry in the lineage.
